Campus Pillar Director Job Opening

The Campus Pillar represents Mosaic United’s activities for Jewish students on campuses around the world and is delivered through the three leading experts in Jewish education on campus: Hillel International, Chabad on Campus, and Olami.

The Pillar director will oversee all ongoing operations and management of the Pillar including implementation and tracking of activities, field building, administration, fundraising, and PR activities.

Responsibilities:

Lead the initiative, working with all partners to implement the strategic vision and ensure the success of the Campus Pillar 

  • Manage the Pillar including content, HR, legal, and operational procedures 

  • Oversee financial relationships and obligations between relevant parties, and manage large-scale funds (millions)    

  • Establish annual targets, workplans, and budget 

  • Execute the business plan and ensure all its targets and milestones are met 

  • Resource development  

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with partner organizations, funders, government representatives, strategic partners, and other key stakeholders 

  • Perform due diligence of providers and activities in the field and establish contracts accordingly 

  • Coordinate third-party audit and/or evaluation systems 

  • Management of large-scale funds and allocations to program providers 

  • Promote cooperation among providers and coordinate field building activity 

  • Ensure that reports and milestones are achieved as planned  

  • Report to the Steering Committees, the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, and other key stakeholders 

  • Support the broader Mosaic United team and other key pillar activities as part of the continuum strategy  

Required Experience and Characteristics

BA degree minimum  

  • Experience managing an organization or large-scale project in the field of education / community building / social change or related 

  • Demonstrated fundraising experience 

  • Prior experience working with the Israeli government a plus 

  • Ability to prioritize between multiple tasks 

  • Financial acumen with a strong ability to manage and administer budgets and produce reports 

  • Strong implementation skills 

  • Excellent ability to cultivate relationships and partnerships 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with multiple stakeholders 

  • Ability to manage and contain pressures from various stakeholders 

  • PR / marketing / branding sensibility 

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environments 

  • Strong Jewish and Zionist background with knowledge about and familiarity with the Jewish world 

  • Familiarity with Jewish activity on campus  

  • Passionate about Mosaic United's vision and mission 

  • Strategic thinker 

  • Possession of a strong passion and orientation towards Judaism, Israel, identity and education 

  • Ability to travel overseas; willingness to work unconventional hours 

  • Excellent English and Hebrew
