Maria Youssim

Director of Shalom Corps

Maria Youssim is the Director of the Shalom Corps division at Mosaic United, where she leads initiatives to promote meaningful service and social responsibility as an expression of Jewish values.

Maria has extensive experience in international development and humanitarian action. She previously served as a Project Manager at the Society for International Development (SID) Israel, collaborating with government agencies, NGOs, private sector entities, and academic institutions to enhance Israel's contributions in the developing world. She also developed capacity-building courses and organized conferences to raise public and policy-maker awareness on global issues.

Before SID Israel, Maria worked with the Council for Higher Education (CHE) as an Academic Accreditation and Humanities Fund Coordinator, supporting accreditation processes and initiatives that encourage innovation in academia.

Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and International Relations and a Master’s degree in European Studies, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is passionate about social equity and justice, believing in the power of collective action to make the world a more just and inclusive place.
