Yigal Nisell has extensive experience as a nonprofit executive and Jewish community leader whose work spans education, advocacy, and cross-community engagement. As Chief Executive Officer of Mosaic United, Yigal brings a strong track record of building initiatives that connect Jews around the world with their heritage, values, and the global Jewish community.
Before assuming this role in June of 2025, Yigal held senior leadership positions at the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM), most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Global Head of Partnerships. There, he spearheaded major initiatives to confront antisemitism through civic engagement, international collaboration, and community mobilization. His leadership helped expand CAM’s reach and strengthened partnerships with government officials, faith leaders, and civil society organizations worldwide.
Yigal spent seven years in Australia as the Jewish National Fund (JNF) Australia’s Education Shaliach. During this time, he developed and led educational programs that deepened the connection between Israel and the Australian Jewish community. He played a central role in creating immersive experiences for educators and students, many of whom travelled to Israel under his guidance.
Coming from a family with a history of Jewish communal leadership in Sweden, Yigal has been vocal about the challenges Jewish communities face in Scandinavia and other regions experiencing rising antisemitism. His writing and advocacy work reflect a deep sense of responsibility to protect and strengthen Jewish life wherever it is.
Yigal lives in Israel with his wife and their three children. His career reflects a clear commitment to Jewish education, meaningful partnerships, building connections, understanding, and action within the Jewish world.
