Director of Knowledge and Impact
Mosaic United represents a joint strategic partnership between the State of Israel and global Jewry to strengthen Jewish identity and connection to Israel among the next generation of Jews around the world. Mosaic brings together established and new Jewish organizations across fields of engagement, equips them with funding and resources, and challenges them with educational standards to expand the breadth and depth of their programming.
The Opportunity
Mosaic United invests in initiatives that strengthen Jewish identity and connection to Israel among young Jews worldwide. A central part of this work is understanding what is most effective and translating those insights into learning for both Mosaic and the broader field.
The Director of Knowledge and Impact leads Mosaic’s evaluation and research efforts, ensuring that the organization’s work is informed by evidence and that the impact of its partnerships and investments is clearly understood.
Working closely with the VP of Strategy: Informal Education, this role helps translate data, evaluation, and research into insights that inform strategic decision-making and contribute to field-wide learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead evaluation efforts assessing the impact of Mosaic-funded programs and partnerships, with a focus on strengthening Jewish identity and connection to Israel.
- Build and maintain Mosaic's evaluation data internal infrastructure, including the tools, platforms, and processes used to collect, store, and analyze program data across the portfolio.
- Develop frameworks that allow for comparison across initiatives and identify areas demonstrating strong impact and return on investment.
- Work closely with portfolio and partnership managers to ensure evaluation tools and surveys are effectively integrated into funded activities.
- Work closely with portfolio and partnership managers to support partner organizations in strengthening their own evaluation and reporting capabilities, providing guidance,
- Oversee Mosaic’s external academic research firm responsible for survey design, data analysis, and reporting.
- Together with the external research firm, explore future investment and strategic priorities through instruments such as literature reviews, focus groups, secondary analysis, and/or rapid surveys.
- Produce research reports, insights, and analysis that inform Mosaic’s strategy and provide content for field-facing conversations and convenings.
- Translate complex findings into clear written and visual summaries for internal leadership, partners, and stakeholders.
- Work closely with CSO and COO to ensure that impact evaluation insights are translated into programmatic and funding priorities and adjustments as necessary.
- Work closely with the Director of Strategic Engagement and the Head of Marketing and Communications to ensure research findings are shared effectively across the field.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in research, evaluation, academia, or impact measurement.
- Demonstrated experience designing or managing evaluation processes.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information.
- Experience working with external research vendors or academic partners, an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Native-level fluency in English and strong Hebrew proficiency.
- Academic degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.

- Salary Range: 14,000–16,000 NIS monthly, commensurate with experience
