Senior Director of Marketing and Communications

Mosaic United represents a joint strategic partnership between the State of Israel and global Jewry to strengthen Jewish identity and connection to Israel among the next generation of Jews around the world. Mosaic brings together established and new Jewish organizations across fields of engagement, equips them with funding and resources, and challenges them with educational standards to expand the breadth and depth of their programming.

The Opportunity

Mosaic United works with partners across Israel and the Jewish world to strengthen Jewish identity and connection to Israel among young Jews. A key component of this work is ensuring that Mosaic’s initiatives, partnerships, and insights are communicated clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences.

The Head of Communications and Marketing leads the organization’s branding, marketing, and communications efforts. This role develops and executes strategies that strengthen Mosaic’s public presence and ensure consistent messaging across the organization’s activities.

Working closely with senior leadership, project directors, and external partners, the Head of Communications and Marketing helps translate Mosaic’s strategy, initiatives, and impact into clear and compelling narratives. This role plays an important part in shaping how Mosaic’s strategy, partnerships, and impact are communicated to partners and stakeholders across the Jewish world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Mosaic’s marketing and communications strategy, aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic priorities.
  • Ensure cohesive branding and messaging across Mosaic’s projects, initiatives, and partnerships.
  • Manage and grow Mosaic’s social media presence, expanding reach and engagement while highlighting programs, partners, and impact.
  • Oversee the creation and production of marketing materials and communications assets for Mosaic’s leadership, initiatives, and public engagements.
  • Support conferences, convenings, and public events by developing communications strategies and promotional materials.
  • Work with the Director of Knowledge and Impact to translate data, research, and program outcomes into compelling impact narratives for external audiences, annual reports, and donor communications.
  • Work closely with project directors and internal teams to ensure messaging reflects Mosaic’s activities and audiences.
  • Liaise with Mosaic’s PR firm to ensure alignment between communications strategy and external media engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen Mosaic’s visibility through media, partnerships, and digital platforms.
  • Manage external marketing and communications vendors as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or related roles.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling ability, with the capacity to translate complex initiatives into clear and engaging messaging.
  • Experience managing digital marketing platforms and analytics tools, including social media and campaign management platforms. Understanding of visual tools, a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver.
  • Native-level fluency in English and strong Hebrew proficiency.
  • Experience working in the nonprofit, education, or Jewish communal sector is an advantage.

  • Salary Range: 15,000–18,000 NIS monthly, commensurate with experience.
